Antioch church in brighton missions and outreach

Local, National And Global Missions

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commanded us to “go and make disciples of all nations.”  In that same passage, the God of the universe promised to be with us always.  That’s so exciting!  We want every city, state and nation to be able to worship Jesus in their own language.

We believe that the only way for any culture to truly love, honor, and bless one another is for them to know and experience the love of Jesus.  Introducing this news to those who have not heard is our passion.  This is why we say that we believe that the local church can change the world.  The church is called to be Jesus, and Jesus is love.  Our Discipleship School focuses on training students to do this.  Please continue to read to learn more about our various outreach initiatives.

Community Of Faith International ("CFI")

CFI is our non-profit Church Planting and Training Organization.  Acts gives us a model of small groups (Lifegroups and one-on-one discipleship) for planting churches in America and abroad.

Move In Madness

On September 1st, a gazillion UHauls flood our streets as new people move into our Brighton neighborhood.  This outreach is an opportunity to welcome them in a practical way!

We need YOU to join in this amazing opportunity for our entire church to serve and welcome our new neighbors by helping them move in, handing out refreshments and inviting them to our annual kickoff Sunday celebration.

Contact Jaclyn Widenmaier for more information.

Annual Christmas Wrapping Outreach

Where: Watertown Mall

When: T. B. D.

What: Every year around Christmas we serve the shoppers at Watertown Mall by offering free gift wrapping, caroling, returning shoppers' carts and prayer walking in the area.

Serving the Thomas Edison school

We desire to be a community that actively lives out the word of God in the book of Galatians:

(Galatians 5:13-14) You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

The Thomas Edison School is our neighbor and our goal is to show the love of God to the students, teachers, and staff through acts of service with humility and in love, as Biblical scripture calls us to. The vision in serving the Edison school is to share the gospel of Jesus’ love and sacrifice by being people who demonstrate how much God cares for and sees the Edison School community by seeking out and meeting the needs they have through collaboration and relationship building with school staff. We believe that God cares deeply about serving others in building his kingdom (Matthew 25:31-46) and that practical service is an act of worship. Our goal is to be a community that is a faithful partner to the Thomas Edison School as they invest in the lives and education of the children in Boston.
