Ways to Give to Antioch Brighton
Proverbs 3:9 instructs us to honor God with the "first fruits" of our labor. As a church we want to worship God with our finances through tithes and offerings. Those who call Antioch Brighton their "home" church are encouraged to consider giving a tithe to the Lord through our church. The word "tithe" means "tenth" and it is a way of honoring God with the first 10% of our income. By setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to come out of your account on the day you specify, you can ensure that your First Fruits are given to God.
These links may also be used to pay for and give to mission trips, retreats and other church events.
Remember, giving is an act of worship. Whether in our Celebration Service or in private worship, please remember to thank God for how He provides for you and how, in turn, you are giving to others.
What are the benefits to giving online?
- Simplicity - You will not need to remember if you gave this month or send in your offering checks when you are out of town. Plus, you can always see details of all past electronic giving.
- Security - Online giving is more secure than giving with a check. Electronic gifts can’t be lost or stolen.
- Helping Antioch Brighton - It is cost effective for the church to process online contributions. In addition, it also simplifies the financial records the church needs to keep.
Why is using my checking account better for Antioch Community Church Brighton?
When you allow your gift to be withdrawn directly from your checking account, the church is charged a transaction fee of 25 cents. When you use your debit or credit card, the church is charged a transaction fee of 45 cents plus an additional percentage (up to 3%) fee on the transaction amount. For every $1,000 given, this is an extra $30 that the church never receives. The savings really do add up!
Credit Card Policy
Our first preference is for you to use your checking account. If you are going to use a card, we prefer debit cards over credit cards.
Our debit card processing vendor handles debit cards just like credit cards. Antioch Brighton encourages you to live a debt-free lifestyle and would ask you to exercise integrity and only give to the church from the cash you have in your bank account.
Why do I need to set up a profile?
Whether you give a one-time donation, or set up a recurring payment, you have the option to create a password-protected profile. This enables you to manage your automatic giving schedules and allows you to view and print your personal online donation history.
Are my transactions secure?
Our financial service provider uses the highest level of security and confidentiality in processing electronic transactions, utilizing the latest technology to secure all of our transactions.
